Normal 2.0

normal

March 11, 2021

The newspapers are talking about the March 11 anniversary.  One year ago, the USA went into lockdown—joining most of the rest of the world.

Today’s schedule started with an early morning puppy play date.  We stood outside, keeping our distance.  My daughter attended high school remotely. This afternoon, I spent over two and half hours on Zoom calls as part of a hiring process.

A year ago, none of that would have seemed normal.  Now, I just always stand at least six feet away from everyone, no matter where I am.  My daughter rejoices in sleeping in later instead of rushing out the door for class.  And scheduling a Zoom meeting for interviews seems a great way to save time and still move things forward.

Today, every part of it seems… just… routine.

Who knew that discovering human capacity to adapt could become a silver lining?

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
