Interest in traveling to New Zealand for an agricultural work or training experience is strong right now, according to the partners that Global Cow works with.
But the New Zealand borders remain closed. “The country still maintains strict travel borders and, as yet, there has been little movement in exceptions for farm workers,” says one of our main contacts. With vaccination rollout in New Zealand and with some additional vaccination progress in the home countries, they are hopeful that things may change.
Another program says that they don’t want to even review applications until at least May, potentially June or July. They don’t expect any information on any possible start-up dates until at least March.
