Hope

hope 3

December 16, 2020

Yesterday, I am sure I joined millions when I nearly cheered out loud at the television scenes of vaccinations being loaded onto plane—and medical staff lining up to receive their first doses.   The second headline talked about the second vaccine’s steady progress towards approval.

Of course, those stories balanced the grim reality:  US current infection rates are higher than April.

Two sides to consider, with two very different accompanying emotions.

At the same time, I’m starting to hear mumblings from potential host families for local exchange students… from young people thinking of going abroad for internships… from farmers and foreign employees.

I believe today’s silver lining is the resurgence of hope.  It shines brighter right now.

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
