Family Ties (Silver Lining 6-12-2020)

three sisters young

June 24, 2020

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Our family and my Massachusetts-based sister and niece typically see each other at least every six weeks.  Most of the time, I think we are closer to once a month.  We travel back and forth to each other’s homes, or we meet in the middle.

This year, we were together the end of December.  We planned on doing something during February vacation, but she went “home home”, to Illinois (to see our other sister).

And then came March… and April… and May… and half of June.

Finally, today, we are all together again.  The silver lining of it all is realizing just how basically human it is to see your own family!

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
