Bikes (Silver Lining 6-18-2020)

bike

June 24, 2020

While in the flat lands of Illinois, the youngest niece has just started to ride a bike.  She’s justifiably very proud.

But, there are shortages of the oddest things right now.  One of them is bicycles. We head into a small town, where there is a used bike store.  Miraculously, he has a solid inventory.  My sister finds a bike for my niece, and then a bike for herself.  She even a bike rack to haul the bikes back home with.  She leaves happy to have finally found bikes, as she already knows that there just don’t seem to be any in her area.

It’s a silver lining for a small town, small business owner, this sudden increase in demand for bikes.

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
