EMPLOYEE
We work with two companies in New Zealand–to go to New Zealand as an INTERN or as an EMPLOYEE.
To be an intern:
- English competency.
- Ages 18-30.
- Have a domestic driver’s license for at least a year, international driver’s permit.
- Experience in the field you apply for.
- Mature, flexible, open-minded, committed.
- Willing to work long hours during certain peak times.
- Agreed to stay on one site for the entire placement period.
EMPLOYEE: Our partner in New Zealand is a company very much like ours, but specializing in helping farms find qualified employees. Experience is an absolute requirement–and so is fluent English.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
- Completely fluent English.
- Ages 18-40.
- Have a domestic driver’s license for at least a year, international driver’s permit.
- At least one complete year of work experience in DAIRY–including milking experience (or field/machinery). More experience is better.
- Mature, flexible, open-minded, committed.
- Willing to work long hours during certain peak times.
ENTRANCES
- Best entrance dates are June/July and September/October.
- Other dates usually also possible.
LENGTH
At least one year, typically more.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Plan on about three to four months from the time of contacting Global Cow until the time you would arrive in New Zealand.
- Complete initial interest form and return to Global Cow.
- Have initial interview with Global Cow via phone or Skype.
- Upon acceptance, pay initial fees to Global Cow. (Repeat Global Cow participants pay discounted rate.)
- Placement process begins.
- Upon placement confirmation, pay New Zealand program fees directly to New Zealand program.
- Prepare to travel!
