A Sense of Optimism

calendar 2021

January 4, 2021

There is nothing like turning a calendar onto a new year, is there?

This year especially, people seem ready to lean into a new set of 365 days, determined that they can’t possibly be as challenging as 2020.  Even the morning news anchors had their moments of good cheer.  They may have spent a lot of time talking about the surge of new cases and the terrible, mounting deaths… but their sense of optimism still came through, too.

Everyone seems united in the belief that 2021 will bring an end to COVID–at least as we are experiencing it right now.  There will be dark days ahead, the experts warn (and the rest of us nod our heads).  But by this time next year, it will be a different world.

A collective spirit of optimism and hope?  Sounds like a silver lining to me!

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
